How to Make a Door Decal using my Cricut Joy

Materials Needed:

Cricut Joy

Smart Vinyl- Permanent

Cricut starter kit tools

I am using the permanent Smart Vinyl in a 20-foot roll. The grid lines on the back make is easy to cut your vinyl. No measuring or trying to fit this material on a mat. Cricut Joy does all that for you!

For my door decal, I used a Design space font to type the word LAUNDRY.

I followed the prompts on Design Space mobile and loaded my smart vinyl when it prompted me to. It will tell you how much vinyl you need to load. Once I loaded the vinyl, I started the cut right from my laptop. My favorite part was no mat was needed!!

Once you’re done weeding you vinyl, you’re eady to add your transfer tape. I added a strip of transfer tape over the entire vinyl strip and use a scraper to press it down on the top as well as from the bottom. You then peel back the transfer tape while removing the vinyl from the backing. Then just put the vinyl in place ,on your door and once again, burnish it down well with the scraper. Peel back the transfer tape leaving the vinyl in place on your door.

Here’s the finished product!!! This was a 15 min project on my Cricut Joy and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! @officialcricut @officialcricuthttps://lnk2.io/wr7RjKZ
