There are times when you need a room refresh to feel excited about a space again.

Changing up your faucet and hardware can be a great way to add beautiful, modern accents to your bathroom.  It can also be a relatively inexpensive way to make the space feel new.

Simply switching out the faucets and mirrors went such a long way in this space. I went with a matte black finish faucet from Vigo Industries and pill shaped Lindbyn Mirrors from IKEA, also in a matte black finish. I decided to leave the cabinet, tub and shower hardware in chrome.

Combining different metals finishes creates depth and adds visual interest to any space. When I began designing this refresh, I knew I wanted to incorporate matte black faucets and mirrors with the chrome accents I already had in this bathroom. I left the cabinet hardware, tub and shower fixtures all in chrome.

Yes, you can totally feel confident about mixing metals in a bathroom!  Those days of having everything matchy matchy are over. I like to stick to the rule of using two metals but no more than three in a space. The black and chrome finishes in this bathroom complement each other perfectly. 

Vigo Industries fixtures really make this bathroom feel modern and new again. Most of all, the bathroom feels more like me now.
